The Elka 2.5 shocks feature Dual Speed Compression adjustment and provide better attenuation of vibration, leading to major noise reduction in the cabin (much less squeak and rattle), damping characteristics optimized for each truck and setup, providing a smoother ride. Increased comfort in both on road and off-road conditions, especially over washboard and square-edge impacts, more stable and more predictable handling, reduced front-end diving when cornering or braking reduced rear-end bucking and lifting, and increased damping and spring rate for better handling when towing or loading truck. The Deaver spring is a complete replacement of the OEM spring, and is arched for 4-Inch over stock rear lift height while maintaining an excellent ride quality via being made from high quality spring steel, a higher leaf count with thinner leaf material for a more compliant ride. The Cognito 1-inch Block and U-Bolt Kit includes a 1-inch-tall powder coated semi-gloss black steel blocks and heavy-duty zinc plated U-bolts. These improvements are accomplished through application of Cognito’s innovative, patented design, by providing additional support to the vehicle’s pitman and idler arms, which eliminate the forward and rearward movement of the center-link.
